Packet pickup:
Friday October 29th, 3:00-7:00PM at Fat Tire Cycles, 421 Montano Road NE, Albuquerque. Timing chip pickup only on race day morning.
Saturday October 30th, 6:00-7:30AM at race location.
You must bring a valid photo-ID to packet pickup. We are sorry but you are not allowed to pick up a race packet for a friend or a family member - each athlete must pick up their own packets, including team members.
If you are a USAT member you must also bring your USAT license to packet pickup. If you cannot show a valid USAT license you will have to purchase a 1-day license for $10. No exceptions made.
If you need to pay for your 1-day USAT license, please bring cash or check (we do not take credit cards). If you paid this fee already, we just need you to sign the USAT waiver at packet pickup!
Timing chip and timing:
The timing is done using a chip. The chip must be picked up on the morning of race day. Please allow some extra time to do this, since all athletes will have to pick it up at race day.
The chip is attached to a Velcro band that you put around your ankle. It is waterproof, and should be worn during the entire race, including the swim. If you are racing on a team the chip has to be passed on between the participants on your team during transitions.
In order for your time to be registered you must walk across the mats at all entry/exit locations to the transition area. Otherwise the system will not be able to read and register your time.
Rules:
Since this is a USAT sanctioned event, we will follow the rules governed by USAT. The complete set of rules
with details can be found at the webpages of USAT (see also this pdf document). Here is list of a few of the most important regulations to be aware of:
· Bike helmets are required at any time you are on your bike at the event location (this includes when bringing your bike back and forth to your car).
· Drafting is not allowed on the bike section.
· Race numbers must be carried during the run and bike sections.
· iPods and headphones are not allowed on the course.
Additional information:
- Awards by age division in 5 year increments (medals will be awarded to those in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group) and 1st place to overall Female, Male and Team.
- Insurance/USAT fee: USAT license or a $10 1-day license required. The 1-day license can be paid at packet pickup, using cash or check (no credit cards accepted).
- To enter at Kirtland Air Force Base at race day morning, you MUST bring a valid photo-ID, and proof of your vehicle insurance and registration.
- If you want to bring a friend or a family member, please send us an email to info@trisportcoaching.com with all names. We need to give KAFB a list of names of those who will enter the base. This list is due several days before the race (10/26), so please plan early!
- Your timing chip can only be picked up at the packet pickup location at race day morning - please arrive early.
- We have the following race categories: Individual, Athena, Clydesdale, Team, PC and Military
