The Dirty Half Course:
The course starts by the Sandia Tramway and finsihes at County Line BBQ. The course is an out and back with a loop turnaround on the U.S. Forest Service trail area of the Sandia Foothills with beautiful views if you have the ability to look around. The trail is mostly single track with plenty of double track and opportunities to pass with a handful of small technical sections. The course has a net gain of approximately 1,000 feet in elevation and it drops more than gains. Although not an extreme course it is challenging and the last mile will definitely be faster than the first mile!
We will have County Line BBQ, Live Music and some good schwagg for the runners at the finish!
Details: Course map
Elevation Gain: 985 ftElevation Loss: 1,412 ft
Min Elevation: 6,113 ft
Max Elevation: 6,673 ft
The Dirty 10 course:
The course is an out and back 6.2 miles on the Dirty Half Trail course in the Sandia Foothills, same description applies – except shorter. The turn around is slightly before mile 3 on the course map.
Aid stations:
There will be 1 aid station on the 10k and 6 aid stations on the Dirty Half approximately every two miles with water and energy drink (you pass each aid station once on the 10k and twice on the Half course.
