A youth membership (age 17 and under) costs $5 and is valid for 1 year. Application form in pdf format - you can print this, fill out and bring to packet pickup (it will speed up packet pickup considerably if you already filled it out).
No refunds are issued, and no race transfers allowed.
Parking:
You can park at the lot just outside the aquatic center. However, this parking will be closed during the event, to ensure safety of the triathletes. You will also be able to park along the road just south of the Aquatic center (see map).
Packet pickup:
Saturday December 11, 12PM-6PM at High Desert Bicycles, 8110 Louisiana NE, ABQ
Sunday December 12, 6:30AM-8:30AM at race location, Rio Rancho Aquatic Center
You must bring a valid photo-ID to packet pickup. We are sorry but you are not allowed to pick up a race packet for a friend or a family member - each athlete must pick up their own packets, including team members.
If you are a USAT member you must also bring your USAT license to packet pickup. If you cannot show a valid USAT license you will have to purchase a 1-day license for $10. No exceptions made.
If you need to pay for your 1-day USAT license, please bring cash or check (we do not take credit cards). If you paid this fee already, we just need you to sign the USAT waiver at packet pickup! To speed up the packet pickup process, you can print the 1-day waiver/application form, fill it in at home and bring to packet pickup.
Timing:
The timing is done using a chip. The chip must be picked up on the morning of race day. Please allow some extra time to do this, since all athletes will have to pick it up at race day. The chip is attached to a Velcro band that you put around your ankle. It is waterproof, and should be worn during the entire race, including the swim. If you are racing on a team the chip has to be passed on between the participants on your team during transitions.
In order for your time to be registered you must walk across the mats at the exit area at the pool. Otherwise the system will not be able to read and register your time.
We won’t have split times at this event, only the overall time for the entire event will be taken.
