Please join New Mexico in welcoming the 2008 Astana Cycling Team to the USA and support them in their fight against diabetes and multiple sclerosis. The entire Astana Pro Cycling Team will be in Albuquerque (January 23 - February 4) for their winter training camp as they prepare for the 2008 cycling season.

 

On January 31st a grand public event will be held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque to introduce the 2008 Astana team including eight-time Tour de France team director and Astana General Manager-Johan Bruyneel, the 2007 Tour de France Champion- Alberto Contador,the 2007 USA National Road Champion-Levi Leipheimer and also Andreas Kloden and Chris Horner. The team will meet and greet the public with proceeds from the event donated to the American Diabetes Association (New Mexico Division) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Rio Grande Division). The event will include a reception and team introduction showcasing a performance by the National Institute of Flamenco and internationally acclaimed Yjastros American Flamenco Repertory Company.
